Henri Cartier-Bresson was surely the most influential and highly regarded master of documentary photography of the 20th century. The man who coined the term 'the decisive moment' spent a lifetime capturing some of the most recognized, iconic images in the modern history of the medium itself. Cartier-Bresson co-founded the renowned Magnum photography agency in 1947 and continued to travel the world making his unforgettable images. Henri Cartier-Bresson died in Montjustin, France on August 3, 2004 at the age of ninety five.

1992, First Revised Edition, Bulfinch, hardcover, 11 1/2 x 12", 388 pages, 155 duotone plates. Bookplate affixed to title page boldly signed by the Artist. Condition: Covers and Contents: Excellent. D/J shows very minor wear and is now protected with a mylar wrap.
